How to know the current System Date from SQL Server using SQL

To know the current system date using SQL is very much important for us. Like we want to record online transactions, log the log in information, last modify date etc. The another important use of current date is to set the Default Date of a DateTime column in a SQL Server table. For SQL Server to know the current date time, GETDATE() function is the standard function.



Note: GETDATE does not require any argument.
